Well, after a successful induction at 39 weeks 2 days, Jackson arrived in just a little under three hours. It would have been 2 hours 25 minutes but the doctor delivering me had to leave surgery and drive accross town. They turned off the pitocin and asked me to please please wait for her to get there. Since I was under an epidural I was able to wait. I only felt pressure. We were dischared the next evening only to come back to our childrens hospital as Jackson spiked a 100.9 temp. He had a spinal tap, blood culture, and viral cultures collected. Thankfully all were negative and he was discharged two days later. I was an emotional wreck of course as my hormones were all over the map. I was able to stay with him both nights luckily. He never did spike another fever either. He does have one heck of a newborn rash (the name escapes me). They said it would clear up in the next two weeks.
Fast forward to Easter and James, whose illness started the afternoon Jackson was born with a fever of 102 and sore throat, is admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. As I write this he is waiting for his CT results of his lungs to see if he is well enough to go home and rest. His right lung was full of fluid. This is the second time in 5 years he has had pneumonia. He also has adult onset asthma that flares up in cold weather hence the tendency for the pneumonia. I sure hope this is our last hospital visit for awhile. I will end this on a positive note with pics of Jackson.

Congrats, Patty! He is absolutely precious and a spittin' image of his bro! I'm so happy for you and your family... although I must admit, a little concerned about the amount of testosterone in your house! ;) Take Care!
