Joshua is recovering from surgery

Joshua had ear tube surgery this past Wednesday. He was mildly cranky right afterwards and wanted his daddy to hold him. On the way home from the hospital he fell asleep and when he awoke he seemed in better spirits. We have had to put drops in his ears (antibiotics) three times a day and that has been the biggest battle. Time will tell if the tubes help to keep his ears free of infection this winter. They are supposed to last at least until he turns 2 then if we continue to have problems he will have a new set put in. Fingers are crossed that we make it through the cold and flu season and never have to do it again. His daddy had to have them put in twice so we shall see if Josh follows in dads footsteps.

Nausea seems to have mostly gone away. I keep thinking I can already feel movement but it sure would be way early for that. The amnio is set for November 2. Anyone wanna make a guess what this one will be? You know the track record. Cast your votes early.

Eric has a new girlfriend and just came to borrow my car to take her to her homecoming. Her mom is cooking them dinner. They are having pumpkin soup for an appetizer, some type of beef and asparagus grilled in sesame oil for the main course followed by creme brule for dessert. Apparently she is a very good cook and has been encouraged to start her own catering business. So far the answer is no. Hopefully they will have a good time tonight. Sammy is a senior in high school so she is closer in age than his last girlfriend. They met at work. She seems quite sweet and is very talkative. She wants to be a teacher someday. Eric is now thinking about nuclear engineering or some type of engineering. Any bets on how many times he will change his major?

I hope Joshua is doing well!
