Josh's first trip to the zoo!

This past weekend we decided to take the boys to the zoo. I got a great shot of "the boys" with Joshua making a classic scrunched nose look. He has become so expressive. Jacob loved the elephants the best he said. Jacob loves "his baby".

We are getting ready to go on vacation in a few days so I won't have any new posts for awhile. Josh is still just pulling up. He refused to toddle around tables at this point. He enjoys climbing up on a small blue rocker and took a tumble this morning while I was putting laundry away upstairs. No blood or bruises luckily. He has expanded his vocabulary to include night, night. It comes out ni ni. Ball is more refined and sometimes comes out complete. Momma is very distinct, especially when he falls down or is tired. He is also making a sign for milk and waves 'hi' to us multiple times each day. Very cute. He waves hi to strangers occassionally too. It is amazing how different he and Jake are at the same age. Jacob was my monkey who would climb and toddle everywhere whereas Joshua wants to communicate and interact more. Jake is more of a daredevil and Joshua is a little more hesitant.

And on the Eric front...he decided to ignore the red oil light in his car. He was driving down the highway at 65 and suddenly the car died. I would say it had a stroke. Well, he calls his dad and says to bring some gas and oil as his car just died. His dad asks why he needs to bring oil as he smelled a rat. Eric then confesses to his ignoring the light. His dad told me he had to take a deep breath and vow not to kill him then and there on the side of the highway and decided to focus on the rescue first and the irresponsibility later. Well, needless to say Eric is without wheels now. He has been begging for me to loan him our backup car. I told him no and that I would be foolish to let me investment drive away with him. Eric then says 'I have learned my lesson'. I hold back telling him um noooo your lesson is only just beginning. His dad is making him pay for the destruction of his car (price yet to be determined) and I am making him get a loan to buy the spare car we have. Eric has since walked to the bank to try and get a loan (of course he needs a cosigner) and is now waiting to talk with his dad and see if he will cosign or not. There is no way I am going to cosign on a loan for a car that I already own. Um...NO. Life lessons are hard aren't they?

That is such a sweet pic of the boys hugging. Although it looks like Joshua is receiving more than giving (a frequent happening in my house too).
I don't mean to laugh at Eric, but man teenagers are dumb. It's amazing we make it through because ALL teenagers are dumb!
