Sorry I have been out of touch

I can't believe I have not posted in so long! I guess time just passes so quickly and it is hard to keep up with everyone and post my own updates. Eric came by for a visit tonight and now that Jacob and Joshua are down I finally have two minutes to myself to post an update.

Joshua has finally decided to roll over! I was beginning to wonder when the desire to do this would hit and he did it for the first time and of course we we not looking. James and I were playing a video game and Josh was laying on his tummy next to us and the next thing we know we look over and he is on his back. We were elated! Today he is pushing himself up with both arms well off the floor. I don't expect it will be too long before he decides to get his feet up under himself. I also walked in on him grabbing his mobile too. Yes Zeeks it is the one I suggested you think about buying. I am going to be sad when the day comes to retire it. First it was his bassinet then followed the infant carseat and next will be the mobile. Where has time gone...*sigh*

Jacob is still being evaluated by the school district for his speech. This coming Friday will be the last step before the district makes it's recommendation. Hopefully he will be able to go to one of the elementary schools that has a program that should help him to overcome his delay. Apparently the actual one he will go to for kindergarten is full up so he will have to go to another one a little further away. I would never have dreamed there would be so many little ones with this need. I am glad to know my guy is not alone.

Eric showed me his senior pics. Good gosh...my baby has grown into a young man. His pics would have been great if his hair were cut. He had them taken when he had it in that teenage curly unkempt look. When he came by he had already had a haircut. He asked his girlfriend if she liked it better cut and luckily she said yes. He kinda put the girl on the spot what with mom there and all.

Our anniversary was October 16th and we both got caught by surprise when the day arrived. I actually had to be reminded by James that it was our anniversary. Kudos to him for remembering cause lord knows I was having a brain fart. We have still not actually celebrated. I would really like to go out to dinner at least so since he has some time off this weekend maybe we will get a chance.

Halloween is just around the corner so I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween. I am rather disappointed this year that the boo thing did not take off like it did last year. Jacob did his two boo's and left the standard note with a ghost, candy and trinkets but no one actually returned our boo. We went ahead and booed Jake ourselves. He is only three and probably did not even realize he was supposed to get booed back. It was more for us than him. I hope next year it goes better. Does anyone know what the politics of booing are? James thinks that since we are a new subdivision that everyone was in mortgage shock and neglected their booing duties. Since you are supposed to boo two others after you get booed theoretically it should not die out. Oh well.

Rolling, rolling rolling!! How exciting. Glad to hear you are doing well, I was starting to get alittle worried. Anymore updates on Eric?
You're going to have to post more pics of your little man soon. I'm having Joshua withdrawl.

Why do I always think I commented, but then find I didn't? Or maybe the comments disappear? I dunno, but anyhoo, I was glad to see this update from you. Congrats on the rolling! Do let us know how things are with Eric. Always thinking about you!
