Not much to report here. I got to see one of the other doctors in the practice. He just happens to be the son of the doctor I am seeing. I have never met him before so I was very curious to see if he looks like dad. I had a hard time comparing him to his dad as he seemed kinda shy. He kept looking at the ground and not making much eye contact. I really am not at all intemidating so what is up with that? He did reassure me that my bp was fine. I told his nurse that I tend to run a little high and I guess she must have told the doctor as he looked at my previous efforts and said that only one was a little high and the rest looked great. I only gained two pounds this round, phew! I was not sure if my new fixation on dark chocolate truffles from Harry and David's had added extra weight. The doc then listened to baby bean's hb and, as he was doing this, baby bean started pounding on the heart monitor. I told the doc that he DOES NOT want anyone invading HIS space. The doc laughs and says he can see my belly moving. As soon as he stopped so did baby bean. This child has ATTITUDE. Strangely enough he forgot to measure how far up my fundus had grown. My doc does it every time. He did say at least I was starting to gain. I assured him that my weight would come up soon. This boy is definately growing. I am starting to feel much more crowded and full.
I also got to drink the pregnancy shot this round. I did have to laugh as my doc's rn asked me if I was going to order sex on the beach. I said a B52 would be great! Of course when the bar maid delivered it was just some super sweet orange stuff. I am like "what kinda bar are ya'll runnin anyhow?" My nurse always has such a good sense of humor.

so glad he is doing so well, attitude and all! I bet that doc is new... maybe?? Anyway, I've lost all faith in the measurement of the fundus! I'm anxiously awaiting my next appointment on Wednesday. I wonder if it is my turn for the good ole glucose test... unfortunately I lost the card that says it! Anywhoo... so happy all is well with you and your little man!
Glad to hear that all is going well. You keep eating those dark chocolate truffles - dark chocolate is an antioxidant afterall!
Patty, I'm so glad to hear that your appointment went well. Yep, sounds like the little guy has an attitude. Just like mine! Hugs!
Patty,
I am so glad that everything is progressing smoothly with your little boy. I LOVE that he has an attitude!! Take care & Best wishes, Cara A
Woo-hoo! When I stop to think about it, I can hardly believe we've gotten this far, and I'm just so grateful. I'm so grateful to have had you with me on this journey, and I'm sorry I've been so MIA lately. I've got to get back on IM soon...I miss my sistas! So glad Bean is doing well -- I love babies with attitude! Baby Bee's definitely got a mind of her own already, too...
Regular doc will still be doing the delivery and yes, his son is an OB, lol! I bet it is nice to have built-in clients. Thanks for all the well wishes girls.
