Well, I sure have been busy. Jacob turned six and Joey turned one. Now I am preparing for Josh to turn three. Spring is a busy birthday time.
Eric has asked to move home again. This is a mixed bag. He wants to pay off his bills but has been contemplating moving in with a less than choice roomate. He has befriended a boy at work who is on probation. I have warned him that this guy may not be the best choice. Can't he find someone else to room with. His friend is on probation for dealing/doing drugs. He assures me he is clean and will not do it again but of course the mother in me says run from this guy. I warned him that if this guy decides to slip from the wagon and deal/do again that he could bring down Eric with him. Eric is very naive. He can only see the good and says that he and this guy get along well and he wouldn't do anything that would put him at risk. How do I get him to make a good choice regarding this? He says he wants to move in and continue talking to this guy about them rooming together. Eric is very close to going to a university to finish his degree. Why would he want to get into a lease since he is needing to move away to a 4 year college? His lease is up April 30th. We have yet to have a converation about what his expectations will be if he moves in. Ahhhhh!
Jacob is finishing up his kindergarden year soon. He is socially lagging I feel. I have been trying to get him to invite friends over so he does not only play with the boy next door. Jake is kinda shy so this has been somewhat difficult. Probably not a big worry. He has been doing very well in school and is reading at a high level. I still worry though. Again the mother in me.
We just put in a fence in our backyard and let's just say the contractor we hired was a goof. James says that he will never hire another contractor. That being said we still have my other house to sell and fix up that we both agreed will be on the market July 1st. I cannot see how he will have it ready as he is putting in all new copper plumbing and the bathroom has been ripped down to the studs. So much work and so little time. The city has cited us for painting so it needs to be finished painting the outside by May 19th! Ahhhh! Another stressor. I can't see us finishing this home to sell it by July 1st without hiring contractors.
My sister who is manic depressive was in the hospital recently to level out her meds. She currently nannies for a family and has decided to look for employment since her employer is pregant again and she does not feel she can handle the stress of a third child to take care of. She and my brother spend a lot of time together. This same brother has issues as well mentally. He has been texting my niece at 3am trying to tell her about "the secret" that she may be my other brothers child. I don't think this is his business to stir up but he seems to think in his diluded mind that he is helping her.
So you see I have been very busy and preoccupied. I wish things weren't so crazy with my family.
Then my bestest friend and I have been trying to go out together but her alcoholic husband has been making it difficult. I made a bet with her that when I was pregnant with Joey that I would have a boy and she said I would have a girl. Well I won and she wants to take me to dinner. Even though my husband offered to watch her kids while we go out he is giving her the guilt trip about her going out and having fun since he works so hard in his landscaping business and he wah wah doesn't get to have any fun. This same man gets to go away to business conferences and goes diving in February without his family. So she cannot offer me much support with my problems since her plate is full. I could really use a girls night out.
So there is my story for why I have been silent lately. I hope things settle down soon.
