Well...we SURVIVED! Jacob's 4th birthday party was a complete success. We managed to entertain nine 4 year olds for 2 WHOLE HOURS! As the kids arrived they were herded into our bouncy. Once everyone got there the fun began. Since it looked like rain we pushed the treasure hunt to the beginning. Sprinkles started and we thought we were doomed. Thankfully, it stopped. We even had a special uninvited guest. That's right...a garter snake! He was feisty but managed not to be trampled by our wild herd. Steve, our neighbor, heckled him until he took a dive into our window well. I have not checked on him today to see if he managed to escape somehow or is huddled in a corner. Can a garter snake escape from a 6 foot well? Hmmmmm....Jake got all kinds of booty. We played spongebob bean bag toss and muscial spongebob. We had no major meltdowns and no blood was shed so our day was a complete success. Happy birthday Jacob!
